Care of your hardwood cutting board/charcuterie board
Our products are meant to be used and enjoyed for years to come. The following tips will help to keep your board beautiful and strong.
- Hand wash with mild soap and warm water. DO NOT wash in the dishwasher.
The high temperatures and harsher detergents used in dishwashers can cause your board to dry out, warp, and split.
- Use a wood conditioner periodically.
This helps to maintain the moisture content of the wood, preventing it from drying out and becoming brittle. It also keeps the beautiful colours of the wood looking fresh! We include a tin of our homemade Beaver Balm conditioner (made with food safe mineral oil and organic beeswax) with every cutting board purchase. You can also use any food safe oil you have handy, such as butcher block oil, mineral oil, or even olive oil! Condition every few months or whenever the board begins to show signs of dryness/dullness.
- Store on edge in a cool, dry location away from direct sun.
Large changes in humidity and temperature can lead to warping and splitting. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause discoloration or fading. Make sure your board is clean and dry before storing.

Yes we do! Send us your idea and we will work with you to finalize a design, and provide a free quote. If you like our proposal, we'll get right to work!

We can ship anywhere around the world where Canada Post delivers!
